The philanthropic arm of Vitalant, the Vitalant Foundation, is committed to advancing access to prehospital blood transfusion programs that help patients receive critical care when every minute matters. 

Through its new limited EMS Prehospital Blood Grant Program funded by an anonymous donor, the Foundation provides grant funding to support EMS agencies seeking to launch, expand or enhance prehospital blood capabilities. This first-come grant program has up to 20, $50,000 grants available, and is aimed at reducing barriers to implementation and helping EMS agencies build sustainable programs that improve patient access to lifesaving blood products in the field.
